Scott founded Kemp Chartered Land & Engineering Surveyors in 1988, following five years of combined study and training at the County Surveyors department of Cornwall Council. Since founding the business, he has worked on the engineering survey and setting out of many major motorways and trunk roads across the UK. Between 1998 and 2001 he acted as survey manager for the McAlpine Joint Venture through the construction of the iconic Eden Project in Cornwall.
Scott is a Chartered Surveyor and is a Fellow of both the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) and the Chartered Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (CICES) and a member of the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE). Scott has been at the forefront of Kemp’s growth and success and has led the team on many major surveys and projects of all types over the years. Although he’s now stepped away from hands-on site work, Scott continues to guide the company from our head office in Redruth, ensuring Kemp remains a leader in the industry.
Outside of work, Scott enjoys exploring the great outdoors and spending quality time with his grandchildren.
