Sam Kemp, MRICS, MCInstCES, CCES

Project Survey Manager

Sam’s journey into surveying was a natural one, following in his dad and older brother’s footsteps, he developed a passion for the industry early on. Starting as a Survey Technician, he has worked his way up to Project Survey Manager at Kemp, overseeing key projects and managing a team of surveyors.

Sam is a chartered surveyor who holds various qualifications, including a diploma in Engineering Surveying with The Survey Association (TSA), he is also a full Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS), and a Member of the Institution of Civil Engineering Surveyors (MCInstCES). He is also a GVC A1 Drone Pilot, integrating cutting-edge technology into his work.

Day to day Sam thrives on the variety of his role, from coordinating site work, to analysing complex data. Over his surveying career Sam has worked on major projects including the recently opened Chiverton to Carland Cross A30 section, but his favourite project to date is The Truro Northern Access Road (TNAR).

Outside of work Sam can be found around the Cornish Countryside, whether it’s walking his cocker spaniel Fred, behind the wheel of a tractor or clay pigeon shooting.
