Turning Underground Data into Digital Clarity

Our 3D utility models and point clouds give you a clear picture of what lies beneath the surface. By combining accurate utility survey data with advanced 3D modelling techniques, we create digital environments that bring buried networks to life.

What Are 3D Utility Models and Point Clouds?

3D utility models are intelligent, spatial representations of underground services. They’re built from detailed survey data and can be visualised in 3D software such as Revit or integrated into wider design models.
Point clouds, meanwhile, provide a dense, accurate dataset of above- or below-ground features, captured through laser scanning or photogrammetry. Together, these tools offer a comprehensive understanding of your site’s surface and subsurface conditions.

Complete Spatial Understanding

See how utilities interact with surface structures and ground levels in one model.

Reduce Risk and Rework

Clash detection and visualisation help identify potential conflicts early in design stages.

Enhance Collaboration

Shareable 3D data supports smoother coordination between engineers, designers and contractors.

Seamless Integration

Models and point clouds are delivered in compatible formats for CAD, GIS, and BIM platforms

Applications

  • Infrastructure and highway design
  • Urban redevelopment and master planning
  • Utility coordination and clash detection
  • Refurbishment and asset management
  • Health and safety / excavation planning

Our 3D Utility Models Process

We handle the full process in-house from survey to model ensuring accuracy and consistency throughout.

Our surveyors capture underground utility data using GPR, EML, and total station or GPS positioning.

Utility data is cross-checked against topographical and measured building surveys and geo-referenced to site control

Our CAD team generates detailed 3D models and point clouds, clearly representing depth, alignment, and service type.

Every model is reviewed for accuracy and supplied in the format that best suits your workflow.

Areas We Cover

We provide 3D utility models and point clouds for projects across the Southwest and beyond, supporting clients in sectors including construction, infrastructure and utilities.

3D Utility Models & Point Clouds

Why are we different from other 3D Utility Models companies?

Our surveyors and CAD technicians work together under one roof, ensuring a seamless flow from data collection to model delivery. With decades of combined experience in utility detection and digital modelling, we provide the accuracy, reliability and clarity you need to make confident project decisions.
Our 3D utility surveys and models are used by contractors, engineers, and local authorities across the Southwest — supporting projects from single-site developments to major infrastructure schemes.

3D Utility Models FAQs

Yes, we can provide combined models allowing you to explore the above ground and below ground infrastructure in a single model.

We can provide our surveys in a number of formats including AutoCAD and Revit.

In order to create an accurate 3D model, a bespoke PAS 128 utility survey needs to be undertaken. This allows the team to capture all the relevant information and ensure the model is as accurate as possible.

We apply the same strict site and QA procedures that are used for our 2D utility survey drawings to our 3D models, ensuring that they are to the same high standard we are known for.

In some cases assumptions will need to be made, however these will be noted on the survey drawing and the accompanying report.

Yes, the models can seamlessly be integrated into your own BIM workflows.
